Can I say absolutely adorable family? We just love this family to pieces! These are a couple of pictures from our family session this morning. I photographed both these sweet girls when they were newborns, and I can't believe they are so big. Our babies are just growing up way too fast! I am so thankful for the opportunity to capture this wedding. I had to decline all weddings in March - June because Micah was due in April. However, the opportunity to photograph this wedding opened up, and we were able to wait until Micah was born to make sure there were no complications during delivery. The location was beautiful, and the lighting was just perfect for the bride and groom pictures! Congratulations to a beautiful couple!

We took these pictures before Justin started treatment for 4 ( now 5) autoimmune diseases in Cleveland. He has been back and forth to Cleveland for treatment, and we continue to pray for complete healing for Justin. It was such a special opportunity to photograph Ross and Aubrey. Both Ross and Aubrey are in the military and were only in Boerne for two days. We were able to capture their sweet engagement pictures one evening, and the weather was perfect. Their love for one another and the Lord radiated from them both. They recently got married in July, and only get to see each other on weekends. A great reminder of the many sacrifices our men and women in our military make for our freedom. Thank you!

Meredith was a senior at Burleson High School that I had a privilege to coach and teach from the time she was in 6th grade. Hard to believe she just started school at SFA this fall! Her family are dear friends, and were really a second family to us in Burleson. What a privilege it was to capture such an important time in her life!

It has been quite a while since I have posted. We have moved to the Boerne area from Burleson, and more importantly, the reason for my long lay-off was the birth of our sweet baby girl Micah. I know it has been a while since I have posted. I obviously took time off after Mason was born, and have picked up again in the fall. I have been shooting pictures every weekend, however, editing time is not as easy as it used to be. I will post some of my other sessions soon.

I wanted to give Mr. R and his family a sneak peak of the pictures we took on Saturday. We had so much fun, and Mr. R is full of personality. He loves the outdoors and never stopped. My Brother's Wedding...

Over the Christmas holidays, I had the chance to capture my brother's wedding. While it was the easiest wedding I have ever done (eventhough I was almost 8 months pregnant), it was a destination wedding with a guest list of 10 people. We all flew out to Vegas on Christmas night, and spent three days with his wedding on Saturday. The wedding was outside the city at a beautiful wedding location. It was exactly what I would expect Jarrod's wedding to be like. I can't believe my little brother got married. My goal is to get all the pictures edited before the baby comes, but here are a couple I have done so far.

I would normally not take a chance on scheduling a session at the end of November because the weather is so unpredicatable, but I am so glad we did! We went to the botanical gardens in Fort Worth and the fall colors were radiant. We had a fun time, and I enjoyed being able to capture Zach's senior pictures. The fall colors were perfect for Zach, and I look forward to using these great pictures to design his graduation invitation.

Ever year I think the pictures are better as the kids get older, but this year it is going to be so hard to pick some pictures for their Christmas card. How cute is he? I had so much fun photographing Aiden. He has such a fun personality, and great smile. He was very cooperative, and there were so many excellent shots to choose from. At the end of the session, I was trying to get him to take a couple more pictures and he said, " I am tired of taking pictures!" He was so precious!

I saw a set of pictures a photographer did with kids and ice cream. I thought it was a great way to end a session, and I am so glad I did. The facial expressions I got where priceless. I was sick the entire first three months, and then adjusting to a new school and job. Things have settled down and I am now busy with senior pictures and family sessions for Christmas cards. Today I had the opportunity to photograph my first newborn, and I had so much fun! Morgan is a beautiful one month old little girl. I couldn't get over how small she was. I guess a little different than the seniors or brides I am use to! I have already edited all the photos, so you know I had a great time! I couldn't wait to see what I was able to capture.

I had the unique opportunity to photograph the 2nd wedding of the year for the Russell family. Last June, I captured Kent and Lauren and their beautiful day. On Sunday, Kent's sister, Carrie, was married to Eric. It was so much fun to see their family again, and share in another special occasion for their family.

The wedding was at Chendor Gardens in Weatherford. The site was unbelievable, and despite a lot of direct light, the pictures are amazing. A tremendous couple that share a love that is evident to all the people they surround.

Grand Canyon

Last weekend, Craig and I had the opportunity to go whitewater rafting in the Grand Canyon. A great four day weekend to celebrate our 4th anniversary. It is senior picture time! I have 5 sessions in 2 weeks which will keep me very busy! However, I love the excitement the end of a senior year brings. Today in my session, I had a best friend come along and join in the fun. Megan and Emily have been best friends since 7th grade, and they even wore the same shirts they wore when they took pictures together in 7th grade! It didn't take me long to convince them to jump in the water fountain and have a little fun. We had a great time today! Here are a couple of my favorites!

This is one of my new favorite pictures. I shot a wedding yesterday, February 9th, and it turned out to be an absolutely beautiful day. I had the opportunity to take some shots outside, and the sky was gorgeous. I love the contrast of the beautiful bouquet and vibrant sky.

The joy of children always brings a smile to my face. I love being able to photograph children because you never know what to expect. Some photo shoots are harder than others, but never without entertainment. It is the unexpected that I love to capture. The next couple of pictures capture the unexpected!

1 Thessalonians 3:9 says, "How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?" The words of Paul to the Thessalonians remind me of children - the joy in a child's face is a tangible reminder of God's amazing love for us!

This is one of my favorite pictures. My first thought when I saw this picture was uninhibited worship. The joy in Caylee's face and hands in the air reminds me of full surrender. "I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies." ~ Psalm 57: 9-10

A wedding at the botanical gardens in Fort Worth at the end of October. The backdrop was absolutely beautiful - definitely a gorgeous place to have a wedding. It made my job very easy!
